The Combi Filter has both a ceramic and activated carbon element; you can use one or both filter elements. This two stage filter system removes all bacteria and protozoa (including Giardia and Crypto) plus the removal of chemicals such as iodine, chlorine and potential health hazards such as pesticides and insecticides. The Combi PLus not only reduces chemicals it reduces bad taste as well. The Faucet Kit (sold seperately) consists of an attachable base, outlet tap, inlet hose and diverter valve so you can use your Combi Filter on a regular water faucet to have safe, clean water. The Katadyn Combi Plus is the only travel filter which can be used indoors and outdoors. Thus the Combi is suitable for every camper, on boats, in vacation homes and on trips with longer stays at one place. This unit does not include the faucet kit.

The Katadyn ceramic with a pore size of 0,0002mm (0.2 micron) reliably holds back all pathogenic bacteria and protozoa such as: giardia, cryptosporidium, salmonella, amoebas, e-coli etc. With an easy single pumping mechanism water is turned immediately into safe drinking water, retaining its natural mineral content, without the need for boiling. The used ceramic element can easily be cleaned by brushing the surface with an abrasive pad. A measuring gauge is provided to check the minimum diameter of the ceramic element. |
